COMMON FABRIC TYPES

For the most part, the fact that you like the look of a product we intend to purchase has become a reason for us to choose. This is due to the fact that we cannot see the effect of the material quality used on garments on our health, as fast as we can see on food. The fabrics used in the dresses are woven, dyed, passed through special stages, packaged, and reach us. This dyeing stage is sometimes made of yarn but sometimes printed on woven fabric. Depending on the content of the yarn of the fabric, the dye used in dyeing, the softener in the washing after sewing, and the different softeners used during ironing, the health effect of the clothes we wear varies.

Like many other synthetic materials, synthetic yarns and fabrics can be produced quickly, easily, and inexpensively compared to other fabrics, so the usage rates in our garments are increasing day by day. Yarns made from natural materials used by human beings for thousands of years are much safer and beneficial for our health. natural yarns are more permeable than others; have no allergic properties. They are therefore preferred. however, it is difficult to maintain, on the other hand, the washing instructions must be strictly followed. They are more difficult to iron and wrinkle than synthetic fabrics.

Cotton

The cotton yarn consists of cotton wax obtained from the cocoon of the cotton plant and pure cellulose containing a small amount of cotton oil. It is one of the most used vegetable-origin fibers. It has an insulation feature since it can trap air inside. Its flexibility is strong and durable. Cotton holds more moisture than wool. It is preferred in underwear and baby clothes because evaporates sweat in the clothes into the air. Properties such as absorbency, durability, and softness stand out in many other fibers. It can be washed in hot water, can be dried by hanging. When synthetic threads are blended into cotton fabrics, cotton fabric's wrinkling is reduced and becomes easier to iron. They dry later than synthetic fabrics. They do not irritate the skin, do not cause allergies and itching.

Linen

Linen fabrics are obtained from the body of a plant. It is more expensive than cotton because it is difficult to weave since its yarn is not flexible. Linen fabrics are highly durable and absorbent. Linen fabrics made of slippery ropes give a fresh and cool feeling because they cannot hold air in them. It is a type of fabric suitable for use in summer clothing and warm areas. Linen fabric wrinkles very quickly and needs to be ironed when moist.

Wool

Wool is a protein fiber of high crimp hair origin and is obtained from sheep. The quality of the wool fabric is determined by the fineness of the wool fiber used. Fine fibers are made of fine yarns and better quality and tight weaves are obtained. Wool fabric has high moisture absorption. Since it can hold moisture and air inside, it provides insulation against cold. It can absorb moisture up to half of its dry weight, yet does not feel wet. Wool is a soft and flexible fabric.
